A House of Prayer for All People

The Free Synagogue of Flushing stands proudly in the midst of one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the world, an enduring center of Jewish culture. Founded in 1917, it is the oldest Reform Synagogue in Queens NY. True to the ideals of its founders, FSF is an all inclusive, vibrant, community dedicated to equality, freedom, social action and commitment to Torah.

Join us in worship in our historic sanctuary surrounded by the beauty of stained glass windows. Be welcomed by our open congregation. Be guided by the wisdom of our Rabbi Michael Weisser, whose knowledge of Judaism, commitment to tolerance and ability to build bridges of understanding, is recognized worldwide.

Be inspired by the operatic voice of our Cantor Steven Pearlston, accompanied by choir and pipe organ, as he chants both traditional and modern liturgical music. Join us in our holiday celebrations and take part in the many educational, cultural and social events The Free Synagogue of Flushing has to offer.

Due to the impending inclement weather, the John Kendrick luncheon has been cancelled. On March 23 the sisterhood will be hosting guest speaker, Marilyn Kaufman, with a tribute to the American Woman. As many of you will probably be attending this event, we can transfer your payment for the Kendrick luncheon to the Kaufman luncheon. All you need do it let us know.
